We have been here probably five or six times and everything has been fantastic from the food to service. Ramen, chicken karrage, pork buns all tasty. The servers are all attentive and helpful. We will keep coming back. Parking is a mess but the rite aide lot nearby can be used for paid parking.

Simply delicious! The simple looking classic ramen with the white broth will fool you by its unpretentious aesthetic. It blew my mind flavorful it was. The chasu pork was so tender and Smokey tasty. I thoroughly enjoyed the broth just the way it was but they brought out freshly minced garlic and house sauce and then after adding it to my ramen, it was as if it was a completely different yummy bowl! If and when I can have it again, I will put off adding the other stuff as long as I can take it because the broth is just amazing the way it is. But you know, it's so fun adding garlic and hot house sauce cause it just is! Oh I had the combo by the way, the salmon poke bowl was a nice little appetizer. I enjoyed my meal with a plum wine and finished everything!

Parking sucks but that's already a known factor ! It's a small establishment with a couple tables and a bar used mostly for ppl who are there by themselves. The ramen was delicious I ordered the tonkatsu and you're able to get the house sauce and garlic on the side which adds some flavor. I've been to the location in Long Beach and they are very similar. They offer you the flavored water. If you arrive before your party they will have you wait till everyone is there before they seat you. Waitress was nice and attentive. They do already add the tip to your bill which i wish was optional. They do ask if you want to change the amount which I think was 20%. The chase parking becomes a paid parking after bank hours. There's another parking lot at rite aid.

The ladies that took care of us were great. They made sure our drinks were full, my tea always had hot water, we had ample napkins, and were quick to bring the food out right away. As fast and efficient as they were they never missed a beat with their courteousness and their professionalism. The food was great as well! Their crispy chicken is their version of the karaage which I appreciated because often times the karaage at a lot of ramen places the pieces are huge and you'd have to cut them and it's usually 2-3 pieces. These were a mountain of bite size pieces with a good ginger soy dipping sauce. We also had the crispy tuna which was a little pricey but delicious. Now onto the ramen. The noodles were nice, chewy and springy, the chasiu was melt in your mouth delicious and I love that there was not an exorbitant amount of beans sprouts like other places put. The shoyu broth was nice and tasty and they give your free house spice on the side to give you the kick to it. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the new gal that came in didn't give me my military discount after I had just asked if they offered it which she said they did. I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything so I asked for a receipt and added everything up because I really wanted to give the 5 stars especially for the ladies that took care of us and the food, but the gal that rang us up wasn't as friendly and she didn't put in my military discount even though she said they offered it and had me show her my ID. She also seemed annoyed that my card was giving her issues. Tips before coming here: -There is an automatic 16.1625% service charge added in lieu of tips but they give you an option to remove it and change it if you like -This is a small spot that can comfortably seat 25 people in which there are 3 areas that can accommodate 4-5 people -On the website you can add yourself on to the waitlist but physically check to make sure there is no wait in the restaurant because when I added myself onto the waitlist I was 4th in line but when I got there it was almost empty and we were seated right away.

We were cravin' ramen and were told this is one of the best places. They were right! As everyone mentioned, you go there and scan the QR code to put your place in line. For us we went on a Friday and it went by pretty quickly. We walked around the block for 20 minutes for two people before it was our time. Started off with the pork buns. The sauce on those things were divine. Had their chicken rice bowl, their pork bowl, and their tonkotsu ramen. The noodles were all they were amped up to be for the ramen. The chicken and pork were tasty for the bowls. Portions were gratuitous. The large bowls can easily feed two. Service was fast and friendly! It's a cute small place but wouldn't go here with a big group. More than 4 means waiting longer. As a complete side note if it's just you and one more person it's fun to sit at the "bar" seating looking out the window. It's a one way mirror and man was it funny watching people look at themselves the whole time. There is a parking lot behind on sixth and Robinson that you have to pay for. Otherwise street. During busy hours be aware of that.

This is a small ramen joint in the heart of Hillcrest with a very small dining room. Be prepared for a significant wait, especially on a weekend evening. We went on a Saturday night during prime hours with a party of three and waited about an hour for a table. Fortunately there is an electronic waitlist with a grace period so we were able to comfortably enjoy a pre dinner cocktail next door while we waited. The service was friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. For starters we had the crispy chicken karaage which was bite size pieces of dark meat, some with some skin and a bit of fat, which was absolutely simple and delicious. We also had the crispy rice and spicy tuna which is exactly what it sounds like and was a nice but not mind blowing bite just before the main course came... ...which was the tonkotsu ramen. This is the real deal folks! A deeply rich pork bone broth with a perfectly seasoned, gooey centered cured egg - complete with slices of pork that was a combination of melt in your mouth flavor bomb and tender muscle. I got the default thick noodle which gave the perfect amount of bite, and made for a plentiful and satisfying meal. Don't miss this place, and don't be scared by the wait. It's worth it!

This is the best ramen place in SD hands down. The food is always good. I highly recommend the Tonkotsu ramen (if you eat pork). The pork is amazing, I sometimes sub for chicken since I try not to each too much red meat (it's make with pork broth tho). You have to add the soft boiled egg too The pork buns are amazing too. Super flavorful and the buns are extremely fluffy. The spicy tuna crispy rice rivals all restaurants that make this dish. It's our go to whenever we order. As I mentioned the food is always consistent, we order from here a lot and it's always spectacular. I haven't been onsite yet but will soon and add more photos.

My absolute #1 favorite ramen in san diego!! I could go on and on about Hiro nori... First discovered this place in like 2023 and have been back at least like 6+ times.... it's that good! I always get the tonkotsu ramen with thick noodles. The broth is so thick and creamy and has such a wonderful flavor. You have to go with the thick noodles vs the thin!! Also, just look at the pork ... It's so fatty and so delicious. No other ramen shop does chashu like Hironori it's actually insane. The eggs are always super good too! The crispy chicken karaage is also delicious. Very lightly fried, the breading is airy, the chicken is moist and flavorful! The soy ginger sauce they serve on the side is also very good! Pro tip to ask for the house spicy sauce and garlic sauce on the side to add into your ramen. It's a game changer !! Service is always exceptional!

Came here on a rainy day and even with a bit of a wait, I've gotta say this broth is worth it! I ordered the tonkotsu ramen and the broth was so rich and hearty, I drank every drop. The noodles itself were fresh and cooked just right in the steaming broth while the slices of pork were filling and definitely on the thick side. The staff was friendly and whipped out dishes very quickly. They even had a refreshing fruit-infused water that the waitress even double checked for allergies before serving which was nice. The spot itself is cozy, but they're efficient with turning over tables. I'll definitely be back for the flavorful broth alone!
